This policy explains what personal data HomeRadar processes, why we process it, and the choices available to you.
1. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect account details such as your name and email address, saved filter preferences, saved application message text, listing notes and statuses, search buddy email address, device or browser notification identifiers, billing and transaction reference data related to purchases, and contact form submissions.
2. How we use personal data
We use personal data to create and maintain your account, run the service, save reusable application text, deliver matched listings to you and any search buddy you add, manage delivery channels, process and verify purchases, respond to contact requests, improve product performance, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, where it is required for legitimate business interests such as security and product improvement, where the law requires it, or where you have given consent.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with infrastructure, analytics, authentication, hosting, notification, checkout, billing, and payment providers when needed to operate HomeRadar, and with authorities if the law requires it. This may include sharing relevant purchase and billing information for payment processing, invoicing, tax handling, refund administration, and order-related support. If you add a search buddy, we use that email address to send matching rental updates to that person.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account administration, support history, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Contact requests are retained for support and audit purposes unless deletion is required by law or approved on request.
6. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export certain personal data. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis for processing.
8. Cookies and analytics
HomeRadar uses essential cookies and similar technologies needed to keep the site working, remember preferences, and understand aggregate product usage. We avoid using more data than necessary for those purposes.
With your consent, we also use optional advertising and analytics cookies to measure and improve our advertising and website. Specifically, we use the TikTok pixel and TikTok Events API to understand which ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions, and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This may involve sharing identifiers such as a hashed email address, online identifiers, and IP address with TikTok and Google, and may result in your data being processed outside the European Economic Area, including by TikTok/ByteDance and Google. These cookies are off by default and only load after you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; withdrawing is as easy as giving consent. Rejecting these cookies does not affect your ability to use HomeRadar.
9. Third-party services
The platform may link to third-party listing sources and may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, notifications, billing, and payment processing. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will publish the revised version here and update the date at the top of the page.
